Where to stay for San Mateo in Logroño
San Mateo, the grape harvest festival, is the liveliest week of the year. In 2027 the main day is Tuesday 21 September, and our apartment is about a 10-minute walk from the Espolón.
The grape treading
On San Mateo day, on the Espolón, at noon (2026 timing). You can walk there from the apartment.
Fireworks
Several nights from La Ribera, usually at 11 pm. Plus the fairground at Las Norias.
Everything on foot
Walk home after the fireworks or Calle Laurel, with no taxi or parking to worry about.
Book early
The city fills up for San Mateo. If you know you’re coming, message us as soon as you can.
